Succeeding at Reading

Succeeding at Reading

Has anyone used Succeeding at Reading from Keepers of the Faith? I'm interested in a review from someone who has used it and is not affiliated with KOF.
Thanks!!

re: Succeeding at Reading

I was wondering also. I saw it in my new KOP catalog and searched for it online and could find NO samples. I hate that.

re: Succeeding at Reading

I just found a video on youtube... I'll try to find it again

to me it looks a lot like Word Mastery (which is free ;) )

re: Succeeding at Reading

Thank you, Fenna.
I have Classical Phonics which is an updated version of Word Mastery. It does not contain sentences for reading practice nor as many words as Succeeding at Reading. I like that I can take a peek inside this book from the video you shared! Thanks!

re: Succeeding at Reading

I found this site called the phonics page, that has a free ebook that is called Blend Phonics, that looks similar to Succeeding At Reading. (It is just word lists that go over the sounds)

The Homes Site has alot fo interesting information about teaching phonics. It also talks about NOT teaching sight words.
Anyway, here's the link to Blend Phonics. You can print it out. (36 pages)

ETA: He also offers other free resources to go along with Blend Phonics: some readers (more word lists practice) and some review cards, and certificates. Here is the direct page for that:
