Adult Reading Program

Adult Reading Program

Has anyone tried this program. Was thinking of getting it for my older high school aged kids. To help even more with reading. http://www.adultreadingprogram.com/self-taught-reading-program.php

Thanks

re: Adult Reading Program

mostly bumping this for you. but.. never heard of it until your post. took a look. I see a phonics program with "right brain" strategies to recall sounds with phonograms such as pictures within the letter shapes to match the sounds. Maybe a bit more. If there's much more to it than that, it's not obvious from the website stuff I looked at.

Is that the kind of thing your children would need? Is the struggle you're trying to help them with involve sounding out words?
is it about spelling issues? comprehension of reading? love of reading?

(edit for word correction)

re: Adult Reading Program

I tried to find something on YouTube on this but couldn’t. I don’t think it would be worth the money. There just isn’t enough information on it.

I think I’d look at Sequential Spelling for a high school aged kid that can read but not well. If your teen has other problems that make reading difficult, then you might want something else.

All you need is the spelling book. You can do without the response book.
