AG and WWS vs EIW

AG and WWS vs EIW

I am thinking of using AG for grammar and WWS for writing for a 6th grade boy.
But EIW (Essentials in Writing) covers both grammar AND writing and would, therefore, be cheaper and more streamlined.

Does anyone know if EIW grammar is up to par with AG and if EIW writing is up to par with WWS?

Thx! Stacey

re: AG and WWS vs EIW

EIW has a small portion of grammar review in the earlier grades, but not not enough for a "grammar" course. It is strictly a writing course. Easy Grammar is a perfect tie-in with this, which is a grammar course that is very homeschool friendly. We've used Easy Grammar (the newer versions, not the outdated ones) for the last 5 years. My oldest is in 10th grade now and in the Easy Grammar Ultimate series. It only takes about 5 - 15 minutes in the grammar lessons. Very nice! Hope this helps!

Financially, I don't think it is that much cheaper. Keep in mind that AG is three years worth of grammar.

I highly recommend AG! It works!

I can't comment on the WWS AG combo or price.

Oh yes, I forgot, AG is 3 yrs worth of grammar. That definitely changes my outlook on the price. :)

Thank you all for your input!
