My seventh grade son is very interested in the two World Wars. I would like to let him do a unit study on them. Has anyone done this before or have any good ideas? Obviously, we will look at library books and dvd's, but I want him to learn from a Christian perspective and would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

I have not done this yet with my kids but have you looked into Hands of a Child lapbooks?
Also, this company has lapbooks. http://www.ajourneythroughlearning.net/historyunits.html
Truthquest history has guides: http://www.truthquesthistory.com/store/products.php?categoryParentName=Books&categoryName=Age+of+Revolution+III&itemId=34
Winter Promise covers WW 1 and 2 and a lot more in this guide and it includes other subjects. http://www.winterpromise.com/american_culture_overview.html
You can also Google WW1 unit study and find tons of links, same with WW2 unit study. I have used lapbooks from both companies but my kids don't really like lapbooks and I really think of them as glorified textbooks, read, answer questions, but in a prettier way. lol I have Truthquest books and like them but they mostly have lists of books with some Christian commentary but not a lot more. I have WP and have thought of getting the one I linked to youbut we have another one I'm using from them right now and I really don't have the extra money to spend.
This book has activities to go along with reading: http://www.amazon.com/World-War-II-Days-Activities/dp/0471371017/ref=cm_lmf_tit_19 but it's not a Christian resource and I know nothing about it. HTH!!

I know one book that my sons LOVE is the Usborne World Wars book. It's not Christian, but I didn't really find anything objectionable in it, aside from one lady who needed a higher cut top so I made one with a Sharpie. :) But the info and pictures and maps are wonderful.
