We are staying with TT and using their pre-algebra for my non-mathy child.
For my oldest, he used BJU on DVD from pre-algebra until he graduated. BJU is a very rigorous math program. I know my youngest would not do well with it.(As it should be as BJU science is VERY hard)
I hear Chalkdust is quite good. But since we have already been doing TT, we will stay with what works :0)

For my 7th grade son he'll be using TT pre-algebra.

We are planning to use Prentice Hall pre-algebra next year, mainly because the books are fairly low cost (we're using the 2004 version) and there are video lessons online (on the prentice hall website) for each section, along with online quizzes and tests. We've done CLE up until now, so this will be something different for the 8th grade. We're in need of a change!
